Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Civil Engineer to join our team in Pretoria. In this role, you will be involved in the design and execution of a variety of civil engineering projects. Your expertise will contribute to the development of innovative solutions that meet our clients' needs, improve infrastructure, and ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee surveying and investigation processes to inform project design.
• Ensure that all construction is compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Assist in project bidding and contract negotiation.
• Utilize CAD software to create detailed designs and plans.
• Research and stay current on industry trends and technology to enhance project performance.
• Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams in the execution of projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in infrastructure development

Technical Skills

• Geotechnical Engineering
• Environmental Impact Assessments

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Registered Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng)
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D: Advanced skills in using AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil design.
• Knowledge of Building Codes and Standards: Awareness of local and international building regulations.
