Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Consultant to join our growing team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge in tax regulations and compliance. Your role will involve advising clients on tax strategies, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with the latest legislation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed tax assessments and planning for clients.
• Prepare and file tax documents in accordance with regulations.
• Advise clients on tax impacts of different financial situations.
• Provide training sessions on tax compliance for clients.
• Review financial statements for tax implications.
• Help clients navigate audits and other tax inquiries.
• Maintain records and documentation for compliance purposes.
• Develop tax-saving strategies tailored to each client.
• Explore and advise on available tax incentives.
• Regularly communicate with clients regarding updates in tax legislation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Honours or further qualification in Taxation is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in tax consulting or compliance

Technical Skills

• Tax Law Knowledge
• Accounting Software Proficiency

• Analytical Thinking
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• SAIT Registered Tax Practitioner
• Certified Tax Advisor (CTA) is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
