Job Description

We are seeking skilled Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators to manage and maintain wastewater treatment facilities. This role involves ensuring compliance with environmental regulations while providing high-quality service to clients. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in wastewater treatment processes and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine checks and troubleshooting for treatment equipment.
• Ensure compliance with local and national water quality standards.
• Train junior staff on operational procedures and safety protocols.
• Document maintenance and repair activities accurately.
• Utilize wastewater treatment software for operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with the engineering team for system upgrades.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and materials.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate or equivalent (NQF Level 4)
• National Diploma in Wastewater Treatment or related field (NQF Level 6)

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in wastewater treatment or a related field.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes
• Mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency in relevant software

Certifications

• Valid Driver's License (Code B)

Languages

• English: Fluent
