Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Public Health Officer dedicated to advancing public health in Pretoria. In this position, you will engage with communities, manage health promotion campaigns, and analyze public health data to inform strategies. Your work will be pivotal in fostering a healthier population.

Responsibilities

  • Design comprehensive health education programs.
  • Conduct outreach to underserved populations.
  • Track and report on public health metrics and indicators.
  • Participate in the development of health promotion campaigns.
  • Supervise interns and volunteers involved in health activities.
  • Organize health fairs and community health screenings.
  • Research best practices in public health interventions.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training.

  • Advise on health-related policies and public health legislation.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
  • Master's degree in a related field is a plus

  • 5+ years of experience in public health management
