Job Description

We are searching for a meticulous Insurance Underwriter to join our respected team in Cape Town. Your role will include evaluating insurance applications, assessing risk, and determining coverage amounts while maintaining strong communication with clients and brokers.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze risk factors associated with insurance applications.
• Negotiate terms and conditions of insurance policies with clients.
• Evaluate claims to determine validity and prepare recommendations for settlement.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients.
• Conduct market research to stay abreast of competitive offerings.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or Insurance

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in insurance underwriting

Technical Skills

• Financial Analysis
• Insurance Market Knowledge

Certifications

• Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
