Join our vibrant team at Local Animal Clinic in Port Elizabeth as a Veterinarian. We are seeking a passionate veterinarian who is committed to providing exceptional care to our furry patients. In this role, you will diagnose and treat a variety of animal health issues, perform surgeries, and educate pet owners on preventive care.

Responsibilities

• Perform wellness checks and annual examinations for pets.
• Identify and treat behavioral issues in animals.
• Collaborate with local animal shelters for community health initiatives.
• Report any cases of suspected abuse or neglect.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment.
• Manage client payments and follow-up visits.
• Engage in public speaking at community events about animal care.
• Foster relationships with local pet owners to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

Education

• DVM from an accredited veterinary school
• Specialization in veterinary surgery preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a clinical setting

Technical Skills

• Emergency Medicine

Certifications

• Certified Veterinary Surgeon

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic
