Supply Chain Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee and enhance our supply chain operations in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in logistics and procurement, with a proven track record of optimizing supply chain processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end supply chain processes from procurement to distribution.
• Analyze supply chain data and metrics to enhance decision-making.
• Foster relationships with stakeholders across various departments.
• Evaluate and improve supply chain practices to drive efficiency.
• Implement inventory management systems and practices.
• Assess supplier performance and conduct regular audits.
• Provide training and support to team members in supply chain best practices.
• Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers and customers regarding logistics issues.
• Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance to management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Management, or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years in a managerial role within supply chain or logistics

Technical Skills

• Supply Chain Optimization
• Cost Reduction Strategies

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Conflict Resolution

Certifications

• Certified Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
