Platform Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Platform Engineer to support our DevOps initiatives in Centurion. The ideal candidate will be adept in cloud computing solutions and have a solid background in infrastructure automation and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and monitor cloud resources using leading providers such as AWS and Azure.
• Automate deployment and integration processes using Jenkins and GitLab.
• Support development teams in maintaining robust infrastructures.
• Audit and implement security protocols for cloud-based services.
• Develop and enhance monitoring solutions for system health checks.
• Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Facilitate training for staff regarding new tools and processes.
• Manage vendor relationships for cloud infrastructure services.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS, Docker) are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud platforms
