IT Support Specialist

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an IT Support Specialist to join our Bloemfontein team. If you are passionate about technology and enjoy helping people solve tech issues, this is the perfect role for you. You will provide first-line support to our clients, troubleshooting various hardware and software problems and ensuring smooth IT operations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to user requests and issues with urgency.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software support.
• Oversee the maintenance of company hardware and peripherals.
• Facilitate the onboarding of new employees in terms of IT setup.
• Assist in managing and deploying cybersecurity measures.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure systems are functioning optimally.
• Provide input for improving IT processes and user training sessions.
• Assist with data entry and reporting as required.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in IT Support or related field
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is preferable

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in IT support

Technical Skills

• Software Installation

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• ITIL Foundation Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with IT Security: Knowledge of best practices for IT security and data protection.
• Familiarity with Virtualization Technologies: Experience with VMware or Hyper-V is advantageous.
