Job Description

Join our team as a Pharmacist in Durban, where you'll play a key role in patient health management. You will dispense medications, provide customer consultations, and ensure compliance with South African pharmaceutical regulations. We are looking for a motivated individual passionate about healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions and counsel patients on medication therapy management.
• Coordinate with doctors and healthcare teams to manage patient care effectively.
• Ensure pharmaceuticals are stored according to regulations and policies.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and manage stock levels efficiently.
• Participate in health promotional activities and screenings.
• Provide guidance on over-the-counter medications and health supplements.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with health information standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Pharm.D. is highly regarded

Experience

• 3+ years of experience preferred in retail pharmacy

Certifications

• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council

• Afrikaans: Basic

• Experience in home healthcare services: Background in providing pharmaceutical care outside traditional pharmacy settings.
