Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Film Historian to join our team. As a Film Historian, you will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing films from various eras, and providing valuable insights into the historical context and significance of films.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth analysis and interpretation of film-related data and interviews.
  • Curate and maintain a collection of film-related artifacts and documents.
  • Assist in the organization of film exhibitions and events.
  • Engage with the community to enhance the appreciation of film history.
  • Develop educational materials for public distribution.
  • Work closely with other film experts to validate historical content.
  • Create comprehensive reports on findings and historical significance of cinematic works.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Film Studies, History, or a related field.
  • PhD in a related field is highly advantageous.
Experience
  • Experience working with archival materials and film preservation projects.
