DevOps Engineer

Job Description

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be integral to our tech operations, driving automation and efficiency in our system deployments. Based in Cape Town, you'll collaborate with our engineering teams to deliver effective cloud solutions that streamline our processes.

Responsibilities

• Architect cloud solutions that meet business needs and best practices.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to manage resources.
• Analyze and report on system metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Lead incident response for outages or performance degradation.
• Mentor junior team members in best practices and technical skills.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps or related fields

Technical Skills

• Terraform
• Monitoring Tools

• Adaptability

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).: Ability to develop scripts for automation and process improvement.
