Job Description

As a Petroleum Engineer in our Cape Town team, you will engage in reservoir evaluation, drilling planning, and production enhancement. This role offers a chance to work on diverse projects aimed at optimizing our resource extraction methods.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate field performance and recommend changes for optimization.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams on reservoir management strategies.
  • Utilize simulation models to predict reservoir behavior and production rates.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new projects and enhancements.
  • Develop strategies for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques.
  • Prepare and review drilling programs to ensure safe and effective execution.
  • Perform economic evaluations and cost estimations for drilling projects.
  • Participate in risk assessments and management discussions.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency.
  • Document processes and maintain data integrity in engineering applications.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree in Engineering is advantageous
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in petroleum engineering
