Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our research team in Durban. The ideal candidate will support various laboratory operations, manage samples, and assist in data collection and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples and reagents for laboratory tests.
• Monitor and maintain lab equipment, ensuring proper functioning.
• Conduct routine tests and record laboratory results meticulously.
• Help in data collection and analysis for ongoing research projects.
• Ensure laboratory cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.
• Manage stock levels and assist with requisitions for lab supplies.
• Collaborate with colleagues on various research projects.
• Write and maintain laboratory reports for research findings.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Laboratory Technology or related field
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in laboratory assistant roles or similar

Languages
