As a Cupola Tender Helper, you will work closely with the Cupola Tender, assisting in the day-to-day operations of the cupola furnace. Your key responsibilities will include loading materials, monitoring temperature and flow of molten metal, and performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality. Responsibilities

• Support the Cupola Tender in the operation of the furnace.
• Load and unload materials and supplies into the furnace chamber.
• Ensure the furnace is cleaned and maintained regularly.
• Conduct safety checks on equipment before use.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Cupola Operator.
• Help develop and improve operational processes.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Training in foundry operations preferred

Experience

• Preferred experience in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills

• Mechanical aptitude
• Safety awareness

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Forklift operator certificate: Certification that enables one to operate a forklift safely within the foundry.
