Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Textile, Apparel, and Furnishings Workers to join our team in Johannesburg. As a Waste Picker, you'll collect and sort waste materials, ensuring all activities comply with health and safety regulations. No previous experience is required, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Work efficiently to collect and sort waste materials.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the recycling facility.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines during operations.
  • Maintain records of collected waste types and quantities.
  • Support team efforts to improve overall waste management practices.
  • Assist with educational programs promoting recycling and waste disposal.
  • Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors about operational issues.
  • Participate in safety drills and training sessions regularly.

Requirements

Education
  • Grade 10 Certificate or equivalent
Experience
  • Previous experience in waste management or recycling is advantageous
Technical Skills
  • Ability to operate machinery
