Responsibilities

• Examine pets and interpret diagnostic tests, including x-rays and blood work.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote responsible pet ownership.
• Review and prescribe medications for animals.
• Manage inventory of veterinary supplies and ensure cleanliness of the clinic.
• Conduct follow-up consultations to monitor animal recovery.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)

Experience

• 3+ years of experience preferred in a clinical setting

Technical Skills

• Diagnostic Imaging
• Pharmacology

Certifications

• Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Certification

Languages

• Zulu: Basic
• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous emergency veterinary experience: Experience handling urgent and critical care situations.
• Familiarity with alternative therapies: Knowledge of acupuncture and holistic approaches to animal care.
