Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Actuary in Sandton, where you will be tasked with interpreting data to support strategic financial decisions. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills who can effectively communicate their findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop pricing models based on thorough risk analysis and market research.
• Collaborate with IT and data programs to ensure quality data handling and reporting.
• Participate in and lead actuarial meetings and workshops.
• Work on continuous improvements to the methods and tools used in risk assessment.
• Stay updated on trends and changes in the industry affecting actuarial practices.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Actuarial Science or related field is preferred
• Relevant qualifications will be prioritized.

Experience

• 5 years or more of relevant experience.

Technical Skills

• Advanced Excel Skills
• Statistical Software (e.g., R, SAS)
• Financial Forecasting

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) is an added advantage

Languages

• English: Fluent
