Cutting and Slicing Machine Setters, Operators, and Tenders

Job Description

As a Cutting and Slicing Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender, you will be responsible for cutting and shaping leather and other materials used in the production of shoes and accessories. This role requires precision and an eye for detail to ensure the highest quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings to determine cutting requirements.
• Cut materials as per specification for various fashion products.
• Check and ensure the quality of cut materials before shifting to the next stage.
• Assist in training junior operators in machine operation protocols.
• Record production data and maintain logs for inventory and quality assurance.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production efficiency and improvement.
• Assist with troubleshooting machine issues as they arise.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Preferred qualification in fashion or manufacturing technology.

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a fashion manufacturing role.

Languages

• English: Fluent
