We are on the lookout for an Environmental Engineer to join our passionate team in Durban. In this role, you will manage and oversee projects focused on environmental protection and sustainability. Your expertise in environmental regulations and engineering principles will be crucial to ensuring compliance and driving our sustainable initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and mitigate environmental risks associated with projects.
• Coordinate waste reduction initiatives and practices.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams in environmental consulting projects.
• Implement monitoring systems for environmental quality.
• Prepare technical proposals and project plans.
• Advocate for environmentally responsible policies and practices.
• Foster relationships with local NGOs and community groups.
• Utilize GIS and other technologies for environmental assessments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in environmental management preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of relevant experience in environmental engineering or consulting
