Tax Specialist

Job Description

As a Tax Specialist in Cape Town, your expertise will guide our clients through tax compliance and planning. You will be expected to stay updated on any changes to tax legislation to provide accurate advice and facilitate their growth by identifying opportunities for tax savings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax returns.
• Act as a day-to-day contact for client tax matters.
• Implement updates to tax software and processes as required.
• Work closely with external auditors and other consultants.
• Create effective tax strategies based on client goals and legislative changes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax compliance standards.
• Guide clients through the tax implications of transactions.
• Review and finalize tax filings prior to submission.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or Financial Services
• Additional relevant certifications (e.g., ACCA, CA) preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years in taxation, preferably within a consulting environment.
