Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Tax Specialist to join our dynamic team in Centurion. This role requires a deep understanding of South African tax laws and the ability to develop tailored tax strategies for our diverse client base. You will be responsible for filing accurate tax returns, ensuring compliance, and advising clients on tax planning to optimize their financial position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax research to support client advice.
• Prepare reports on tax implications of corporate structures.
• Review client business structures for tax efficiency.
• Develop tax planning solutions for diverse sectors.
• Manage and complete tax projects within deadlines.
• Identify and resolve any potential issues with tax authorities.
• Support clients in financial decision-making through effective tax advice.
• Keep accurate records of all tax-related activities.
• Participate in team meetings for best practice sharing.
• Train junior staff on tax procedures and compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Taxation is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a tax advisory role

Technical Skills

• Value Added Tax (VAT)
• Corporate Taxation

Soft Skills

• Negotiation skills
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Heritage Certificate in Tax Studies
• Chartered Accountant (CA) is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
