Job Description

As a psychologist at Mental Health Services Inc., you will provide essential support and therapy to clients facing various mental health challenges. We are looking for someone passionate about mental health and capable of fostering a positive therapeutic environment that encourages healing and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Assess client mental health status through interviews and diagnostic tools.
  • Design and carry out therapeutic interventions that promote positive behaviour changes.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to address client needs.
  • Document treatment progress and outcomes clearly and effectively.
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families on mental health issues.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote mental health awareness.
  • Conduct workshops and seminars related to mental health topics.
  • Seek supervision and engage in reflective practice.
  • Stay updated with relevant laws and standards in mental health care.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctorate in Psychology is preferred
  • HPCSA registration as a Clinical Psychologist is mandatory
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in mental health care
