Penetration Tester

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Penetration Tester to join our dynamic cybersecurity team in Durban. This individual will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities in our systems and applications through thorough testing and analysis. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills and the ability to think like a hacker.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability scanning.
• Participate in red team exercises to simulate advanced persistent threats.
• Document and communicate the results of security assessments.
• Analyze security incidents and recommend preventive measures.
• Provide expert guidance to improve security policies and practices.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and frameworks.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or Information Technology

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in penetration testing and threat assessment

Technical Skills

• Scripting Languages (Python, Bash)
• Incident Response

Soft Skills

• Problem Solving
• Team Player

Certifications

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with cloud security: Familiarity with cloud services security practices and assessments.
• Knowledge of advanced persistent threats (APTs): Ability to identify and respond to sophisticated attacks.
