Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Blockchain Systems Engineer to join our energetic team in Cape Town. The perfect candidate will have a profound understanding of blockchain architecture, smart contracts, and decentralized applications, and will play a pivotal role in system design and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of complex blockchain applications and protocols.
• Evaluate and select appropriate blockchain platforms for various projects.
• Engage with the community to promote blockchain literacy and best practices.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for development processes.
• Facilitate team workshops and training sessions on blockchain systems.
• Ensure security measures are in place and continuously assess blockchain application vulnerabilities.
• Foster collaboration with external partners to enhance product offerings.
• Implement agile methodologies to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 4+ years of experience with blockchain technologies

• Hyperledger
• Ethereum

Certifications

• Certified Blockchain Solutions Architect
• Google Cloud Certified - Associate Cloud Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Terraform: Proficient in managing infrastructure with Terraform.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies: Experience working in an Agile development environment.
