Job Description

We are currently seeking a Data Governance Specialist to join our Pretoria-based team. This role is pivotal in establishing and enforcing data governance policies that ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance throughout our organization. The ideal candidate will have a keen analytical mindset and a deep understanding of data management principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data governance processes.
• Oversee data lifecycle management practices.
• Develop training materials and conduct training on data policies.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure data governance aligns with regulations.
• Utilize analytics to support data-driven decision making.
• Advise on data architecture to ensure integrity and usability.
• Foster a culture of data stewardship within the organization.
• Lead cross-departmental meetings to drive governance initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
• Master's degree in Information Systems is advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or similar roles
