We are on the lookout for a Cloud Engineer to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. Ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, with practical experience in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud solutions to improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and select cloud technologies to align with business strategies.
• Facilitate cloud resource provisioning and monitoring.
• Oversee architectural guidance for cloud infrastructure.
• Participate in incident management and provide cloud support.
• Foster a culture of security and governance in cloud adoption.
• Implement performance tuning and optimization strategies.
• Create detailed reports on cloud utilization and performance.
• Mentor junior cloud engineers and support their development.
• Collaborate on architecture decisions with various stakeholders.
• Advance knowledge sharing within the team for continuous improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps and cloud engineering roles
