As a Public Health Officer, you will be at the forefront of public health initiatives in Johannesburg. Your expertise will help drive community health programs, implement disease prevention strategies, and support health education efforts.
Responsibilities
Lead community health initiatives to improve access to healthcare.
Coordinate vaccination and disease prevention campaigns.
Foster partnerships with local organizations to enhance health programs.
Provide training and support to health workers and volunteers.
Conduct research to evaluate health program effectiveness.
Develop educational materials and resources for community distribution.
Facilitate workshops and seminars on health-related topics.
Engage in policy advocacy to support public health initiatives.
Monitor compliance with health regulations and standards.
Assist in grant writing and resource mobilization for health projects.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences or relevant field
Postgraduate qualification in Public Health is a bonus

5+ years of experience in a public health role, ideally in community health
