Job Description

We are seeking a Civil Engineer who will assess, design, and oversee construction projects that enhance urban infrastructure in Bloemfontein. This role involves collaboration with architects, contractors, and local authorities to ensure the successful execution of projects while adhering to budgetary constraints and time schedules.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize engineering processes and designs.
• Apply knowledge of industry trends and advancements to enhance project functionality.
• Research and implement sustainable practices in engineering designs.
• Liaise with government bodies and agencies to secure permits and approvals.
• Design and implement budgets for engineering projects while improving cost efficiency.
• Supervise the execution of construction works, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget.
• Compile and maintain project documentation for regulatory compliance and audits.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers in their professional growth.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years in the civil engineering sector, particularly in project management roles
