This is an exciting opportunity for a Public Health Officer to engage with the Gauteng community on health initiatives fostering well-being and resilience. In this role, you'll utilize your background in public health to analyze data, communicate findings, and advocate for necessary changes in health policies. Responsibilities

• Implement and manage public health programs aimed at health improvement.
• Analyze epidemiological data to guide program development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline health services.
• Conduct workshops to promote health literacy in diverse communities.
• Advocate for health resources and support at local and national levels.
• Develop strategic partnerships to enhance public health outreach.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or similar field
• Master’s degree in Public Health or a related discipline is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of progressive experience in community health or public health roles

Technical Skills

• Project management
• Statistical software proficiency

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Cultural competence

Certifications

• Public Health Registered Specialist (PHRS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

• Grant writing experience: Experience in writing proposals for health funding opportunities.
