Actuary

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Actuary to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting complex financial analyses and developing actuarial models to assess and mitigate risks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scenario analyses to assess financial implications of changes in regulations.
• Review and interpret changes in legislation affecting the industry.
• Collaborate with actuarial teams to enhance service delivery.
• Maintain and improve existing actuarial models to ensure accuracy.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
• Postgraduate studies in Actuarial Science or relevant fields preferred

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the actuarial field with substantial experience in life or general insurance

Certifications

• Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (FASSA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
