Job Description

As an Educational Advisor, you will play a crucial role in assisting students with their academic journey. You will provide personalized support, helping students select appropriate courses, understand academic policies, and develop their career plans. Your expertise will empower students to navigate their educational paths confidently.

Responsibilities

  • Guide students through the course selection process, helping them to align their studies with career aspirations.
  • Provide students with information on academic requirements, resources, and support services.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of student workshops and events focused on academic success.
  • Act as a liaison between students and faculty to advocate for student needs and concerns.
  • Utilize student information systems to track student progress and outcomes.
  • Conduct individual advising sessions to assess student needs and create personalized action plans.
  • Engage with students proactively to encourage academic engagement and resolve challenges early.
  • Work with external stakeholders, such as schools and universities, to foster collaborative relationships.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all advising interactions.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
  • Master's degree in a related field is preferred
Experience
  • 3 years of experience in educational advising or counseling
