Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat oral diseases and dental complications.
• Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques.
• Maintain dental operating equipment and ensure all tools are sterilized.
• Assist in training and mentorship of new dental staff.
• Engage in community outreach activities to promote oral health.
• Address patient inquiries regarding procedures and dental treatment.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent
• Specialization in orthodontics or periodontics is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of direct patient care in a dental setting

Technical Skills

• Pediatric Dentistry
• Preventive Dentistry

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• HPCSA Registered Dental Practitioner
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

• Background in cosmetic dentistry: Experience in cosmetic procedures such as veneers and whitening.
• Proficiency in dental software systems: Experience with practice management software, particularly for billing and patient management.
