We are seeking a passionate Chemical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing chemical processes while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop chemical formulations and test samples for quality assurance.
• Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with safety and compliance teams to ensure standards are met.
• Utilize software tools for modeling and simulation of chemical processes.
• Present findings and recommendations to management.
• Maintain accurate records of experiments and developments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or similar
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of professional experience in chemical processes

Technical Skills

• Chemical Process Simulation
• Quality Control

Soft Skills

• Effective Communication
• Analytical Thinking

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Certified Chemical Engineer (CCE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with HAZOP studies: Understanding of Hazard and Operability studies for process safety.
• Experience in project management: Ability to manage projects from conception to implementation.
