Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Healthcare Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing the emotional and social needs of children and their families, developing personalized care plans, and providing support through counseling and advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
  • Create and manage treatment plans tailored to individual circumstances.
  • Deliver effective counseling services for emotional and psychological support.
  • Facilitate connections between families and community resources.
  • Document and monitor the progress of care plans.
  • Lead workshops and information sessions for communities on available services.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists and medical professionals.
  • Participate in community outreach activities to promote services.
  • Stay updated on relevant legislation and best practices in social work.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Work
  • Registration with the South African Council for Social Services Professions (SACSSP)
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in pediatric social work.
