Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an Electrical Engineer who is passionate about designing and implementing innovative electrical systems. In this role, you will work closely with our project managers and clients to ensure successful project delivery. Responsibilities

• Evaluate and enhance the performance of existing electrical systems.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards and procedures.
• Train team members on electrical design best practices.
• Conduct energy audits and recommend solutions for improvements.
• Lead projects from conception through to implementation.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate updates.
• Ensure accurate project tracking and reporting of expenditures.
• Analyze project outcomes and adjust strategies as necessary.
• Support the development of proposals for new projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Postgraduate qualifications are advantageous

Experience

• 4-6 years experience in electrical engineering roles

Technical Skills

• Electrical Power Distribution
• Building Management Systems

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Project Management Experience: Proven experience managing projects from design to implementation.
• Knowledge of Local Electrical Regulations: Understanding of electrical codes and regulations in South Africa.
