Veterinary Technician

Job Description

As a Veterinary Technician in our Johannesburg practice, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks to support our veterinary team, including animal assessments, laboratory tests, and client education.

Responsibilities

• Help in the management of clinic operations and client relations.
• Conduct physical examinations and obtain patient histories.
• Prepare and administer anesthetics under veterinarian supervision.
• Assist with the handling and restraint of animals for procedures.
• Participate in continuing education and training workshops.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Veterinary Nursing
• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a clinical setting

Certifications

• Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS)
