Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Environmental Engineer to contribute to our projects in Cape Town. In this role, you will assess environmental data, develop strategies for environmental management, and collaborate with diverse teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental investigations and studies on contaminated sites.
• Develop environmental management plans tailored to specific projects.
• Advise clients on environmental regulations and compliance pathways.
• Compile and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Establish performance metrics to evaluate environmental program success.
• Coordinate with governmental and non-governmental organizations for project approvals.
• Promote sustainability initiatives within and outside the organization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in environmental engineering or consultancy

• Environmental Impact Assessment

Certifications

• Registered Professional Engineer
• ISO 14001: Environmental Management Systems

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
