Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Civil Engineer to manage our engineering projects in Johannesburg. Your role will include collaboration with other professionals, assessing construction processes, and ensuring all projects meet design specifications while adhering to local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design phase of engineering projects.
• Assess environmental impacts of projects.
• Coordinate with local authorities on permits and approvals.
• Supervise the construction and inspection process.
• Manage relationships with clients and suppliers.
• Implement best practices for sustainability and efficiency.
• Document all engineering activities and changes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in civil construction

Technical Skills

• Construction Codes
• Environmental Engineering

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Civil Engineering Technician (CET)
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in Revit: Experience using Revit for structural modelling and design.
• Knowledge of Smart City concepts: Understanding of urban development and smart technology integration.
