Accountant (Audit & Assurance)

Job Description

As an Accountant specializing in Audit & Assurance, you will mainly focus on providing assurance services to clients, ensuring their financial statements present a true and fair view. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, bringing their accounting expertise to enhance the financial confidence of our clients. Responsibilities include conducting audits, preparing financial reports, and advising clients on regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate internal controls and assess risk management strategies.
• Draft audit programs and carry out fieldwork procedures.
• Provide constructive feedback to clients on accounting practices.
• Review audits performed by junior staff for compliance and quality.
• Communicate audit results to stakeholders and recommend improvements.
• Document findings and ensure accurate records of audits.
• Assist with special projects as needed, including advisory roles.
• Participate in continuous education and training initiatives.
• Drive client engagement and relationship management efforts.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• CA(SA) or equivalent is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in auditing
