Job Description

As a Freelance News Journalist, you'll report on a wide range of topics, from local events to in-depth features. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong writing skills, and the ability to work independently. You will be expected to generate story ideas and pitch them to our editorial team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage exhibition budgets, ensuring cost-effective execution.
  • Work closely with artists and stakeholders to curate compelling displays.
  • Lead educational programming related to exhibitions and events.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote exhibitions effectively.
  • Evaluate exhibition success based on visitor engagement and feedback.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends in art and museum practices.
  • Assist in the design and layout of exhibition spaces.
  • Respond to inquiries from the public and media regarding exhibitions.
  • Organize seminars and workshops to enhance community engagement.
  • Review and report on the progress of ongoing exhibitions across the organization.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art History, or related field
  • Graduate qualifications in Museum Studies or Cultural Management are a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in the museum or cultural sector
