Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to bolster our security team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of risk assessment, incident response, and security protocols to protect our digital infrastructure. You'll work closely with IT and compliance teams to ensure our systems are secure and robust against cyber threats.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk analysis and assist in risk management processes.
• Monitor and review firewall configurations and threat detection systems.
• Conduct regular audits of security systems to identify potential risks.
• Prepare security reports and present findings to senior management.
• Work with vendors to implement security solutions tailored to the company's needs.
• Lead security drills and simulations to evaluate response capabilities.
• Participate in incident response teams and lead investigations post-incident.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CISA

Experience

• 4+ years of experience dealing with cybersecurity challenges
