Job Description

As a Funeral Planning Counselor, you will provide essential guidance and support to families during a difficult time. Your role encompasses understanding client needs, recommending suitable services, and ensuring seamless coordination with various service providers.

Responsibilities

• Engage with families to understand their cultural and personal preferences for funeral services.
• Outline funeral packages and services, providing cost breakdowns to clients.
• Communicate with external vendors to coordinate services for the funeral.
• Help families navigate through the bereavement process empathically and professionally.
• Document all client communications and interactions for reference.
• Develop and conduct follow-up consultations with families post-service to ensure satisfaction.
• Create presentations for community workshops on the importance of end-of-life planning.
• Continuously evaluate the quality of services provided to improve client experience.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Diploma in Funeral Services is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years' experience in a similar role.

Technical Skills

• Database management systems

• Valid driver's license
