We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing risks, making decisions on policy applications, and ensuring the profitability of our underwriting processes. This role requires a keen analytical mind, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assess the financial viability of insurance proposals.
• Identify trends and patterns in claims data.
• Develop strong relationships with industry professionals.
• Provide training and support to junior underwriters.
• Conduct audits of underwriting processes to ensure compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a similar field

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in insurance underwriting

Certifications

• Associate in Underwriting (AU) certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
