Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and demonstrate expertise in medical and surgical nursing practices. You'll be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and categorize patient needs based on assessments.
• Manage patient medications and monitor for side effects.
• Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care.
• Engage in continuous education and professional development.
• Assist with administrative duties within the nursing department.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
• Facilitate communication with family members regarding patient care.
• Implement evidence-based nursing practices.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Nursing with additional training in specialized areas (preferred)
• Registered Nursing license in South Africa

Experience

• 2+ years of nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting

• Electronic Health Records (EHR)

Certifications

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Languages

• English: Fluent
