As a Tax Specialist, you will play a crucial role in advising clients on tax strategies and compliance matters. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that clients maximize their tax benefits while adhering to the latest regulations. Responsibilities

• Deliver expert advice on South African tax legislation.
• Perform detailed tax research and analysis.
• Assist in the development of client relationships.
• Prepare and present tax-related reports to management.
• Ensure compliance with local and international tax laws.
• Provide insights into business decisions from a tax perspective.
• Train and mentor junior staff members in tax compliance and strategy.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar
• Further qualifications in tax law are advantageous

Experience

• 5 years of progressive experience in taxation

Technical Skills

• Audit experience
• Regulatory knowledge

Soft Skills

• Client relationship management
• Time management

Certifications

• Certified Chartered Accountant (CCA)
• Tax Certification by SAE is preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience in corporate tax environments: Experience in handling corporate tax issues for larger clients.
• Skill in tax negotiation: Experienced in negotiating with tax authorities on behalf of clients.
