Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented Investment Banking Associate to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be integral to providing exceptional advisory services, conducting market analysis, and facilitating client relationships. You will work closely with senior bankers to assist in executing various transactions including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory services. Candidates should have a strong analytical background and a passion for finance and investment banking.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory services.
• Perform financial analyses and prepare detailed valuation models.
• Create pitch books and presentation materials for client meetings.
• Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Support senior bankers in negotiations and transaction structuring.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure project deliverables are met.
• Stay updated with market trends and provide insights for clients.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to marketing strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
• Master's degree is an added advantage

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in investment banking or related financial services
