Claims Adjuster

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Claims Adjuster who will be charged with validating and processing claims. You will need to communicate effectively with claimants and various parties to guarantee that claims are resolved promptly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate claims for compensation and assess relevant documentation.
• Gather information from claimants, witnesses, and medical professionals during investigations.
• Review policy terms and conditions to determine coverage eligibility.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants while ensuring all relevant documentation is recorded.
• Provide support and guidance to other members of the Claims team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or related field preferred
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in claims management or similar role

Technical Skills

• Claims Management Software
• Microsoft Office Suite

Soft Skills

• Analytical Thinking
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Professional certification in Insurance (e.g. Chartered Insurance Professional)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with legal frameworks related to compensation claims: Familiarity with laws and regulations governing compensation claims.
