Job Description

As a Gauge and Weigh Machine Operator, you will operate and maintain weighing and measuring equipment used in production processes. Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate measurement instruments and equipment.
• Monitor gauges, meters, scales, and other measurement devices during production.
• Perform weighments and measurements on raw materials, finished products, and samples.
• Record and report measurement data accurately and punctually.
• Troubleshoot and maintain measurement instruments and equipment.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate or equivalent
• Technical qualification in measurement instruments is an advantage

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a related role

Technical Skills

• Weighing and measuring equipment
• Calibration tools

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Communication skills
• Problem-solving

Advantageous

• Experience with industrial production equipment: Knowledge of and experience working with machinery in a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices: Understanding of lean principles to optimize processes.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma principles: Experience with Six Sigma methodologies for quality control.
