DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We invite applications for the role of DevOps Engineer in Johannesburg. You will leverage your extensive knowledge in cloud solutions to facilitate the deployment and maintenance of our applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of applications to the cloud infrastructure.
• Implement monitoring solutions like Prometheus or Grafana to ensure system health.
• Design disaster recovery plans and implement failover strategies.
• Enhance deployment strategies through containerization with Docker or Kubernetes.
• Collate and analyze system metrics for continual improvement.
• Coordinate with IT support to resolve technical challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Certification in DevOps practices is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years in a DevOps environment

Technical Skills

• Terraform
• Jenkins

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud Architect

Languages

• English: Fluent
